Each year, more than 400 million batteries are used across Australia, yet only around 15 per cent are recycled, resulting in approximately 8,000 tonnes of batteries ending up in landfill. This must change. EcoBatt has made battery recycling safer and more accessible through Australia’s most extensive battery collection network, with over 7,500 public drop-off bins located at major supermarkets and participating retail locations nationwide.

In addition to household and consumer batteries, EcoBatt provides specialised storage and recycling solutions for electric vehicle batteries. When electric vehicles are involved in accidents or become damaged, their batteries can become unstable and pose significant safety risks. EcoBatt’s EV rescue containers are purpose-built to safely store and transport damaged vehicles, incorporating advanced fire suppression systems to manage the risk of thermal events during handling and transport.
